Tehran, Paris sign MOU on railway co-op

TEHRAN – Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (IRIR) and French National Railway Company SNCF signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Sunday for enhancement of railway cooperation, IRIB reported.

According to the IRIR’s office of public relations, based on the MOU six task forces will be formed to work in various sectors including express railways, station services, suburban train lines, consulting for structure renewal, crisis management and rail transport machinery.

The MOU was signed by Iranian Railways deputy head Ahmad Khodaei and a member of SNCF’s board of directors. A delegation of the French railway officials and French parliament members also attended the signing ceremony.
